The International Gemological Institute is one of the world’s most trusted independent diamond grading laboratories. Before your diamond is ever set, it is submitted to the IGI for independent assessment.
IGI Certificates play an essential role in the global diamond, gem, and jewellery market, serving as the common language of trust and confidence in the gemological world.
Their grading report records the measurable details of your diamond in writing: the 4Cs, the grading results and the identification details connected to that stone. It gives your LOYA diamond a clear, independent document to keep beside its deeply personal story.
WHAT YOUR IGI CERTIFICATE SHOWS
Every finished LOYA diamond is more than a feeling. It is measured, graded and understood with the 4Cs.
Every diamond is unique, yet its quality is described worldwide through four key characteristics: the
4Cs: Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat Weight.
At LOYA, your diamond is grown through a highly controlled, traceable and precision-led CVD process. Once complete, it is expertly cut and independently assessed by IGI. We uphold exacting standards at every stage, creating a diamond with exceptional brilliance and lasting beauty, made to carry your story for generations.

CARAT
Carat measures a diamond’s weight, not its exact size. One carat equals 0.2 grams and is divided into 100 points. Shape and cut also influence how large a diamond appears, so two diamonds with the same carat weight can look different in size.

COLOUR
Colour describes the natural tone visible within a diamond. Colour is graded on a scale from D (completely colourless) to Z (noticeably warm). Only D, E and F count as truly colourless.

CLARITY
Clarity describes the tiny internal and external characteristics that may develop as a diamond grows. These are known as inclusions and blemishes. The fewer and less visible they are under magnification, the higher the clarity grade. They can also make every diamond uniquely its own.

CUT
Cut describes how precisely a diamond’s facets are shaped and polished, not the shape of the diamond itself. Its proportions, symmetry and polish determine how beautifully it reflects light, creating its brilliance and sparkle.
Choose the carat weight that gives your LOYA diamond the presence you envision. The carat ranges from 0.40 to 3.00. Your diamond is grown individually and carefully planned around your chosen shape and jewellery. If you wish to create a diamond above 3.00 carats, we will personally explore the possibilities with you.
Our standard lies within the highest colourless range, D–F, giving each stone a bright, clear and beautifully pure appearance, without a visible warm tint. The final colour grade is independently confirmed by IGI.
Our standard is a clarity grade of VS2 or higher. Any inclusions are minor and difficult to see, even for a trained grader under ten times magnification, and are typically invisible to the naked eye. The result is a beautifully clear diamond whose individual growth characteristics make it uniquely yours.
For Round Shape diamonds, our standard is an Excellent or Ideal cut. For every other shape, where IGI does not award a cut grade, each diamond is finished to our own exacting proportions, with Very Good or Excellent polish and symmetry. Fluorescence ranges from None to Faint.
Together, these qualities create exceptional brilliance, balance and light performance.
