The material itself does not go directly into the growth chamber. First, carbon is carefully recovered, purified and prepared for use in the CVD process. Only then is it ready to take part in the growth of your LOYA diamond.
Every LOYA diamond is IGI-certified and comes with an official grading report issued by the International Gemological Institute (IGI), one of the world’s most trusted independent gemological laboratories.

CARBON REFINEMENT
Where something deeply personal is prepared for a remarkable new form. At the beginning of every LOYA diamond is something that could belong to no one else: hair, fur or ashes from a person or companion you love.
Your material does not go directly into the CVD reactor. First, the carbon it carries is carefully recovered, purified and prepared, always connected to your individual LOYA journey and the story at its heart.

Received and Identified
From the moment it reaches us, your material is treated as completely irreplaceable. It is carefully registered and assigned a unique identification code, keeping it connected to your LOYA journey throughout its transformation.

Careful preparation
The hair, fur or ashes are carefully processed into a finer form. This allows the carbon held within the material to be recovered with precision and care.

Carbon separated
Through a specialised laboratory process, minerals and other non-carbon elements are gently separated. What remains is a concentrated source of personal carbon, the same extraordinary element from which every diamond is formed.

Purified with heat
The recovered carbon is heated in an oxygen-free environment, allowing it to be purified further without burning away.
With every carefully controlled stage, the carbon is brought closer to the moment your diamond can begin to grow.

Transformed into carbon gas
The purified carbon is transformed into a carbon-rich gas and carefully introduced into the CVD reactor through a sealed supply system.
This is the moment the carbon recovered from the one you love enters the environment where a new diamond can begin to grow.

FROM CARBON GAS TO DIAMOND
From refined carbon to a deeply personal diamond
Inside the sealed CVD reactor, a tiny diamond seed provides the foundation for your new diamond.
The gas prepared using carbon recovered from the hair, fur or ashes you entrusted to us becomes part of the carefully controlled environment surrounding it. Energy creates a glowing plasma, releasing carbon atoms that settle onto the seed and continue its crystal structure.
Layer by layer, a new rough diamond begins to grow. Carbon once held within someone or a companion you love now becomes part of a genuine diamond, created to keep that connection close through every chapter still to come.
